The Boston Celtics have a big concern ahead of them right now.
There have been rumors of Jaylen Brown not being happy with the team and that he might force his way out to become the clear No. 1 option somewhere else.
That’s something the Celtics just cannot afford right now, and team legend Paul Pierce knows it firsthand.
Per Pierce, Brown is actually the best two-way player in the league, and he’s going to do his part to help him stay in Boston.
Jaylen Brown has a big pay day in his future, but will that contract be with the Celtics or someone else?

Brown could be eligible to sign a super-max contract extension worth $290 million if he makes an All-NBA team this season, which he should.
That’s $50 million more than what he could get with any other team, so Pierce claims he’ll have a sit-down dinner with him to try and put those numbers into context.
Stephen Jackson, however, isn’t so sure about that, as he knows Brown at a personal level and thinks he’s the kind of guy who’ll favor happiness over money.
Brown has been tangled up in multiple trade rumors throughout the years, and that may have taken a toll on his feelings toward the Celtics organization.
Also, the Celtics have always been deemed as Jayson Tatum’s team, even though Brown has been as good — if not better at times — than him.
So, it’ll be interesting to see what decision he makes once the time comes and the super-max extension is sitting on his table, especially if the Celtics fail to win the NBA championship again this season.
