The Los Angeles Lakers pulled off an upset against the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday night.
Following a terrible Game 5, the Purple and Gold responded in the best way, sending the Grizzlies home behind an impressive game.
Their defense played a big role in this win, and anchored by Anthony Davis’ efforts, the Lakers stopped their first-round rivals.
At the end of this series, Davis made history with his 26 blocks, tied for the second most in a playoff series for the Lakers.

This is absolutely incredible and shows that Davis was on a mission against the young Grizzlies.
The Lakers ended up winning this game by 40 points, which perfectly summed up how well they played on the defensive end of the ball.
Darvin Ham credited Davis for leading the team on D, leaving no option for Ja Morant and co. to hurt their team.
“I told them after the game we set a standard for ourselves defensively, on how we have to play and what we have to do on the defensive side of the ball,’’ he said in the post-game press conference.
The Lakers found their rhythm at the best time and now are set to face either the Golden State Warriors or Sacramento Kings.
If they keep playing this way, the Lakers can make a deep playoff run and shock everybody when no one believed in them.
Ham made the adjustments, Davis embraced his role, LeBron James was the leader, and the supporting cast rose to the occasion.
Now the challenge will be harder, but the Lakers proved that they can compete against anybody.
This season started in a terrible way for the Lakers, but now they’re four wins away from the Western Conference Finals.
