The defending NBA champion Golden State Warriors are officially moving on to the second round of the NBA playoffs, with the Sacramento Kings unable to keep up with a red-hot Stephen Curry in Game 7 at the Golden 1 Center.
The Warriors have been one of the worst road teams in the league this season, which made Sunday’s Game 7 in Sacramento ironic, to say the least.
De’Aaron Fox and the Kings have had an incredible season and gave the defending champions all they could handle in this series, but Curry took his game to another level on Sunday to keep his team’s repeat hopes alive.
Curry scored a playoff career-high 50 points against the Kings, which was also an NBA record for points scored in a Game 7 in the playoffs.

Thompson looks as blown away by Curry’s 50-point explosion as basketball fans were, as he may have even topped Jimmy Butler’s 56-point performance against the Milwaukee Bucks in their first-round playoff series recently.
With the Kings’ season done and the Warriors moving on, Curry and Thompson will have to gear up for another tough test against the Los Angeles Lakers, who have defied the odds in the playoffs thus far after getting out of the Play-in Tournament.
LeBron James and his squad were able to beat the second-seeded Memphis Grizzlies in six games, setting up what will be the most anticipated second-round matchup with Golden State.
