One of the most exciting first-round playoff series in the NBA has officially ended, with the defending NBA champion Golden State Warriors getting the best of the Sacramento Kings in an epic Game 7, which featured a historic performance by superstar Stephen Curry.
Although many doubted the Kings’ ability to compete with the defending champs in a seven-game playoff series, Sacramento proved their doubters wrong very quickly as they were able to give the Warriors all they could handle right out of the gate.
The series came down to which teams could be successful on the road, with both teams getting wins away from San Francisco and Sacramento.
In Game 6, the Kings put on a show at the Chase Center to force a Game 7 at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento.
Despite the Kings’ dominance at home, Curry exploding for 50 points, which made NBA history for a Game 7, proved to be the difference in this series resulting in the Warriors advancing and Sacramento reflecting on an incredible year.
Kings star Domantas Sabonis talked about his team coming up short on Sunday.
“Proud of these guys. We all came out with locked in with our heads straight and took them to Game 7.”

Although the Kings could not end the Warriors’ quest to repeat, Sacramento showed they could play with the best of the best and that this team could be a force to be reckoned with for many years to come.
The dynamic duo of Sabonis and De’Aaron Fox is one of the best in the league today.
As long as the franchise continues to put talent around these two rising stars, the Kings won’t be going away anytime soon.
