Vince Carter is the only player in NBA history to have played in four different decades (90s, 2000s, 2010s, and 2020s).
That kind of longevity and athleticism could’ve helped him excel at any sport he chose.
A Florida native, he could’ve even played wide receiver for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
That’s why the Bucs took to Twitter to congratulate him after the news broke that he was going to be inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, sharing a picture of him donning a Bucs jersey with Mike Evans.
One of the best in the game

Carter’s numbers aren’t as impressive if you look at them from afar, but the fact that he was able to be a professional basketball player for 22 seasons is simply remarkable.
Also, that’s why his career numbers aren’t as prominent as other Hall of Famers, as, obviously, his playing time and role diminished every single year.
There was a time when Carter was considered one of the best scorers in the game, and his explosiveness as a dunker was second to none.
Responsible for some of the most electrifying dunks, Carter’s impact on the game went far beyond the stat sheet.
He single-handedly put the Toronto Raptors on the map and should deserve plenty of credit for the ever-growing popularity of the sport in Canada.
A class act with an elite work ethic, Carter earned every single bit of praise and the right to be immortalized in the Hall of Fame.
