The Minnesota Vikings are still working through life without veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins, who signed with the Atlanta Falcons this offseason on a massive four-year, $180 million deal in free agency.
The always-professional Cousins is still praising his former teammates, and recently spoke highly of one former receiver who he believes is poised for a huge year in 2024.
Cousins recently went on The Big Podcast with Shaquille O’Neal and heaped praises upon former Vikings receiver K.J. Osborn, saying “I always felt like K.J. was better than the opportunity he got.”

Cousins noted how in Minnesota, Osborn always had Justin Jefferson and Adam Thielen in front of him and didn’t always get the opportunity to show how good he was, but now that he signed with the New England Patriots, he should have more chances to prove himself and have a breakout year.
Osborn played four seasons in Minnesota and missed just one game.
His numbers have been consistent, though he did take a slight dip in 2023, which could certainly be accredited to Cousins missing half the season with a torn Achilles.
Osborn posted 48 catches for 540 yards and three touchdowns last season after putting up 655 and 650 yards in his first two years.
The Patriots had one of, if not the worst wide receiver rooms in the NFL last season and it was a major area of focus this offseason, especially with the team potentially bringing in a rookie quarterback with the No. 3 overall pick.
Osborn will have every opportunity to put up big numbers this time around.
