The Boston Celtics steamrolled past their opposition in the regular season.

Jayson Tatum posted some nice numbers, yet despite the local media campaign, he was never an actual MVP candidate.

That’s because the narrative around him has always been that he shies away and underperforms in big moments, not to mention the fact that his team was absolutely stacked and that he wasn’t the only reason why they dominated.

With that in mind, people expected Tatum to take a leap forward in the playoffs and prove the doubters wrong by being the undisputed best player on the best team in the league.

So far, that hasn’t happened.

Tatum was nowhere to be found down the stretch in their loss to the Miami Heat, which is why Skip Bayless took to Twitter to call him out.

Bayless stated that he’s not so sure about Tatum, and he’s not alone.

Once again, I’m still not sure about Jayson Tatum.

While undeniably talented and one of the most efficient and gifted offensive players in the game, he’s left a lot to be desired every single time the lights get too bright.

Granted, he’s still young and should have the best years of his career ahead of him, but it’s not like that’s happened once or twice.

He’s been around for quite a while now, and the same thing keeps happening over and over.

The Celtics have a surplus of talent at pretty much every position, yet they can’t seem to get over the hump, not even when they made it to the NBA Finals.

And while Tatum isn’t the only one to blame for that, you have to trust and rely on your star player when things get tough in the playoffs; that’s why they’re there in the first place.
