The 2024 NBA Draft is coming and it’ll once again be a time for basketball fans to meet all of the incoming stars who will lead the league into the future.

One of the most talked-about draft prospects this year is Zach Edey, the Purdue big man who is hoping to find a home in the league.

On “The Rally,” Rapheal Davis had big praise for Edey, and not just because of his size.

“He can make shots all over the floor and he may be just the hardest worker in the draft,” Davis said, claiming that he’s a much better shooter than most people give him credit for.

It’s hard to tell where Edey will fall in the draft next month but it seems very likely that he will be selected by a front office, although that could happen on night one or two.

He was a terrific player during his final two seasons with Purdue and led them to the championship game recently.

But some people feel he is too slow and cumbersome on the court, which are major marks against him.

There hasn’t been a consistent view of Edey since he declared for the draft but Davis thinks he should garner much more interest than he has.

He’s not just a big man who can infiltrate the paint, but he has good shooting form and can score a lot of points as well.

This year’s draft is going to be an interesting one.

Many people feel it is the weakest in many seasons but others think it has a lot of promise, just not in the most conventional or obvious ways.

In a matter of weeks, Edey’s starting place in the NBA will finally be known.
