In just a number of weeks, Bronny James will know his place in the NBA.

The son of LeBron has been generating a lot of buzz lately for his work at the recent NBA Combine and now there are a few teams interested in drafting him.

Could the Cleveland Cavaliers be one of them?

On “Undisputed,” Paul Pierce proposed that the Cavaliers sign Bronny in hopes of convincing his dad to come back to Cleveland for the end of his career.

“It might entice LeBron to go home. Why not finish out where you started?” Pierce asked.

A few weeks ago, it seemed like the Los Angeles Lakers were the only team intrigued about the prospect of landing Bronny.

But times have changed and the USC star has shown great progress recently.

His speed and athleticism were on full display during the combine and it turned the heads of many scouts beyond those working for the Lakers.

Since LeBron could be a free agent this summer, some teams are thinking they can entice him to leave the Lakers if they acquire his son in the draft.

But even if that’s not possible, signing Bronny has more upside than ever before.

He didn’t have the best season during his single year in college but he has obviously been working on his game and has a lot of promise and potential.

So if the Cavaliers do draft him but his father remains in Los Angeles, they could still be very happy with their selection.

The Lakers are still the betting favorites to get Bronny in next month’s draft.

But the competition for him is heating up for a number of reasons.
