Michael Jordan is the greatest player in NBA history.
At worst, he might be the second-best.
That means that it takes a lot to be compared to him, and chances are people will be set up for failure or disappointment when they compare a young player to His Airness.
That seems to be the case with Anthony Edwards, who went from drawing comparisons to No. 23 to being called out for his lack of aggressiveness in the past two games.
With that in mind, sports analyst Skip Bayless took to Twitter to call out those who compared him with Jordan by stating that you are either that guy or not, so there was no point in now making up excuses for him.
Now all those who proclaimed Anthony Edwards “Young Jordan” are feeling foolish and scrambling to give him the “hit the wall” and “ran out of gas” excuse. Just shameful. You’re either That Guy. Or you’re not.

That’s a valid point.
However, just a couple of games ago, Bayless himself called Edwards ‘Jordan-esque:’
Truth be told, there are obvious and glaring similarities to their games and their demeanor; you just need to have eyes to notice that.
That doesn’t mean Edwards is Jordan or will be as good as him, although he’s just 22 years old and could still end up having a better career.
At the end of the day, every player must walk his own path, and expecting Edwards to live up to those expectations might be unfair.
