Aaron Rodgers Reacts To His Jets Preseason Debut

The New York Jets have plenty of optimism heading into the 2023 season as they’ve got Aaron Rodgers as their starting quarterback.

Rodgers chose the Jets as his next destination after his fallout with the Green Bay Packers and the future Hall of Famer is hoping to prove to everyone that he can win outside of Lambeau Field.

New York made for an appealing landing spot as they’ve got plenty of young talent on both sides of the field.

For Rodgers, he needs more help at this point of his career though that doesn’t mean his gas tank is empty as he showed he can still dice up defenses.

Rodgers finally made his long-awaited Jets debut in their final preseason game against the New York Giants and looked in command of the offense.

Afterward, Rodgers deemed his appearance a success via ESPN.

“I got in, didn’t get hurt, scored,” Rodgers said. “A good night…I’ve got some fire left in me.”

The number one goal in any preseason game is not to get hurt, so the Jets can breathe a sigh of relief that Rodgers came out of the game unscathed.

On the night, Rodgers completed five of eight passes for 47 yards and one touchdown. The score came on a beautiful 14-yard strike to Garrett Wilson, a positive sign for the duo as the regular season approaches.

Although he was limited to just nine snaps, Rodgers looked about as good as ever and hopefully he’s able to carry this small bit of momentum throughout the year as the Jets look to make some noise.
