Analyst Believes 1 NFL Team Can Turn Their Season Around

The New England Patriots are 0-2 to start the 2023 NFL season.

However, there’s no reason to press the panic button according to one analyst.

Both games were close and the team may have won if not for miscues and turnovers.

This premise has analyst Kevin Wildes believing that New England can still turn things around.

“You know it’s just the turnovers. … Mac Jones has been comeback adjacent — right on the edge of a comeback,” Wildes shared during a recent episode of FS1’s First Things First.

The Patriots’ Week 1 encounter against the Philadelphia Eagles started as a potential blowout after the defending NFC Champions raced to a 16-0 lead.

But the six-time Super Bowl champions clawed their way back to make it 16-14 at halftime.

Unfortunately, they couldn’t put the finishing touches on the game as the Eagles edged them 25-20.

However, Mac Jones outplayed Jalen Hurts in that battle.

Jones had 35 completions for 316 yards and three touchdowns, while Hurts tallied 22 passes for 170 yards and a touchdown.

In Week 2, the Patriots came up short against the Miami Dolphins despite outscoring them in the fourth quarter, 14-7.

The Patriots will visit the New York Jets in Week 3.

It’s a fantastic opportunity for the Patriots to chalk up their first victory of the year, especially with Aaron Rodgers sidelined.

Head coach Bill Belichick knows how to exploit Zach Wilson’s weaknesses, as proven in their previous matchups.

If everything goes well, New England will finally break into the win column and possibly gain more momentum for their upcoming games.
