The last two games have been excellent for the Los Angeles Lakers as they registered back-to-back wins.
Considering the Lakers faced off against them without any rest in between, it makes the win even more impressive for the team.
Although the Lakers were praised for their phenomenal comeback against the Los Angeles Clippers in their first game, the organization caught some backlash for it’s performance against the Washington Wizards.
The matchup resulted in an overtime battle, with the Lakers ultimately registering a 134-131 win over the 15th seed in the Eastern Conference.
Speaking of the overtime win, Chris Canty criticized the Lakers for allowing the Wizards to push them to overtime via Unsportsmanlike Radio on Twitter.
“I don’t care it’s the second night of a back-to-back, you shouldn’t need overtime, especially when Anthony Davis played the way he did last night,” Canty said.

While fans were content with the Lakers’ win regardless of the method, many experts called out the team for their performance, including Chris Canty.
Canty pointed out that the Lakers should have easily put away the Wizards.
After all, Anthony Davis and LeBron James had sensational games in their own accords.
Davis added 40 points, 15 rebounds, and 4 assists for the Lakers, while James contributed 31 points, 4 rebounds, and 9 assists in the 134-131 win.
To be honest, the Lakers could have easily defeated the Wizards if it weren’t for coming on the heels of an intense matchup with the Los Angeles Clippers on the previous night.
At the end of the day, the Lakers are currently in a much better space than they were a couple of weeks ago.
They are the ninth seed in the Western Conference and are just 1.5 games behind the eighth seed.
