Pittsburgh Steelers star Minkah Fitzpatrick had a brutal hit on Nick Chubb’s knee.
The Cleveland Browns superstar is now set to miss the remainder of the season, and judging by the way his knee got hit, it would be shocking to see him ever getting back to full strength.
Some fans took to Twitter to call out Fitzpatrick for that vicious hit, even calling for the league to suspend him.
With that in mind, former NFL safety Ryan Clark tried to discredit those claims by stating it was just an unfortunate football play.
He also advocated for defensive players, as they’re often called dirty for doing their job, and stated that the game is becoming so soft and sensitive.
That’s why NFL analyst Nathaniel E. Burleson went out of his way to debate with Clark.

He stated the many reasons why Fitzpatrick was at fault for that hit, adding that it had nothing to do with the game getting softer or sensitive at all.
Burleson concluded that it could either be a malicious or a weak attempt at tackling someone, but he also admitted that he doesn’t know Fitzpatrick well enough to try and call him out for being dirty on purpose.
Fitzpatrick has never had a reputation for being a dirty player, and even the most physical guys out there wouldn’t want to put a colleague’s career in jeopardy.
Football is a physical sport, and as such, injuries are a part of it — the worst part.
Hopefully, Chubb will be able to recover from this.
