The New York Knicks have overcome several different obstacles and all sorts of adversity to make it to Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals of the 2024 NBA Playoffs.

The Knicks have suffered several injuries during their postseason run, but still find themselves in position to advance to the Eastern Conference Finals if they can beat the upstart Indiana Pacers.

Indiana staved off elimination in Game 6 with a gutsy performance, and now New York can respond with a win of their own in front of their fans in Madison Square Garden.

Leading the charge is Jalen Brunson who has been playing through a foot injury to give his team a chance to advance.

Brunson’s run has been one of the most exciting subplots of the postseason as he’s found ways to come up huge whenever New York needs a bucket or play.

Former NBA player Kendall Gill believes that Brunson’s already reached folklore status in the Big Apple via SiriusXM NBA Radio.

“He has become a folk hero and legend in his short time in New York the way that he has played and stepped up each and every time the Knicks needed him,” Gill said.

“This kid has been prepared for this moment his whole life.”@KendallG13 tells @TheJaxShow & @DarthAmin he thinks Jalen Brunson is going to a big factor today.

It’s hard not to root for Brunson because of how tough he plays and his willingness to do whatever is needed of him.

In the NBA, it’s rare to see a player consistently deliver in big moments but Brunson’s been able to answer the call.

Game 7’s are often ugly, physical affairs which seems like it would play in the Knicks’ hands though they’ll go as far as Brunson can take them.
