Analyst Says He’s ‘Shocked’ By Recent NBA Playoff Game

The Minnesota Timberwolves deserve plenty of credit.

They made some bold changes in the past few years with their roster, and it’s paying off at the right time.

With that in mind, NBA analyst Jason Timpf admitted that he had never been more shocked about a postseason result.

Talking on his podcast, he tipped his hat to the Timberwolves for the way they’ve dominated the Denver Nuggets, hinting that they may have finally cracked the code as to how to stop Nikola Jokic (via The Volume).

He admitted that he was wrong about the Timberwolves.

Per Timpf, the key has been having Naz Reid and Karl-Anthony Towns healthy, as they’re big and strong enough to flatten out Jokic’s post-ups, not to mention the fact that they have Rudy Gobert protecting the rim behind them.

Timpf explained that the Timberwolves are sort of layering up their defense to keep Jokic contained, and it certainly worked in Game 2, as he only scored 16 points on 5-of-13 shooting despite Gobert being out.

The Timberwolves won two games on the road, and with the series heading to Minnesota for the next couple of games, it wouldn’t be so shocking to see them sweeping the reigning champions.
