The Philadelphia 76ers got their heart and soul back.
Joel Embiid was finally able to make his return from a knee injury, and that’s obviously fantastic news for Nick Nurse.
Embiid uplifted the Sixers past the Oklahoma City Thunder, and while he was visually exhausted at the end of the game, he still dominated on both ends of the floor.
That’s why NBA analyst Chiney Ogwumike believes the rest of the league should be scared.
Talking on Get Up, she compared Embiid’s return to when the school bully gets back after a week off and everybody around him is nervous and scared.

She believes that Embiid just needs to get his legs back under him and get his conditioning up, and once that happens, it’s going to be scary for the rest of the league.
Embiid was in the midst of a career year before this injury killed his back-to-back MVP campaign.
But even if he’s not eligible for any season awards, he could still be a factor to win the most important trophy: the Larry O’Brien.
The Sixers obviously struggled without him, and they’re currently sitting on the No. 8 seed in the Eastern Conference.
That’s a major concern, as Embiid has historically struggled in the playoffs, and the Boston Celtics have also had their number for years now.
But with a much better coach in Nick Nurse and Embiid having some fresh legs after such a long layoff, not to mention the Celtics’ struggles in the playoffs as well, they could be on to something.
