The Cincinnati Bengals suffered a serious scare earlier in training camp.

On what seemed to be a normal play, quarterback Joe Burrow came up limping and grabbing his calf after scrambling to his right.

He was carted off the field after that, and we have not seen him since.

Burrow has established himself as one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL and a perennial MVP candidate.

Many people are wondering when Burrow will return to the practice field.

But the Bengals are being coy about the whole situation.

Even though the injury looked bad it appears the team is not too concerned.

Bengals head coach Zac Taylor went on “The Pat McAfee Show” to discuss many topics, including the health of his quarterback.

While Taylor did not reveal much, he did say: “I feel good about the progress Joe Burrow is making right now.”

It seems all but certain that Burrow will be back in the lineup when Week 1 comes around.

Even though missing all the training camp reps is not ideal, it is not the end of the world.

Calf injuries can be tricky, which is why the Bengals are being very cautious with this.

The Bengals have Super Bowl aspirations again this season.

As long as Burrow is under center, they will always have those aspirations.

The AFC is loaded this season and Burrow missing any regular season time would be detrimental.
