In the aftermath of the Cleveland Cavaliers losing to the Boston Celtics in the second round of the NBA playoffs, the team has been the center of attention due to all the questions that need to be answered in the offseason concerning the futures of Darius Garland, Jarrett Allen, and Donovan Mitchell.
There’s a chance that one or all three of these star players get traded by the Cavaliers over the course of the summer, with multiple reports coming out about Mitchell not being happy, Garland no longer wanting to play with the superstar guard, and Allen being expendable moving forward.
Along with all this potential movement, which could make the roster look drastically different next season, the Cavaliers parted ways with veteran head coach J.B. Bickerstaff recently, meaning they also need to find a new leader on the sideline in Cleveland.
At this point in time, it seems like no one knows what is going to happen, including some of the team’s players like veteran forward Marcus Morris, even though he sees Mitchell staying put, via “Run It Back.”
“I think Cleveland is a great place for [Donovan Mitchell]…I would be highly surprised if he left,” Morris said.

As of right now, it seems as though it will come down to whether Mitchell signs the contract extension that he’ll be offered by the Cavaliers.
If he does sign the extension, Garland will likely be on the move, but if he doesn’t, then the team could look to move him this summer in what will almost certainly be a blockbuster deal.
