The Boston Celtics dismantled the Sacramento Kings with ease on Wednesday night, beating that team 144-119 and bringing their record to 21-6.
The team made some changes in the summer and it seems that those changes have worked out well.
Speaking to Jared Weiss after the game, head coach Joe Mazzulla spoke about the hard work and sacrifice of newcomer Jrue Holiday.
“Our team is built on sacrifice and sometimes to see the lesser of one guy for another guy to be better,” Mazzulla said.
He added, “What we’re learning is that everybody has to be a lesser version of ourselves to be a better team.”

This is an interesting approach from Mazzulla but it makes a lot of sense when you think about who is on the roster.
There are multiple superstars on the squad and they could each lead the team and outscore nearly anyone else if they wanted to.
But Mazzulla said his players have to minimize output at times so the entire team can thrive and share success throughout a game.
Holiday has been doing great things for the Celtics since joining them a few months ago.
He is averaging 12.6 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per game, shooting 44.8% from the field and 39.8% from the three-point line.
Impressive as those numbers are, they are indeed a bit lower than what he did last season with the Milwaukee Bucks.
This goes to show that Mazzulla means it when he says that players have to limit their powers a bit in order for everyone else to shine.
Next up for the Celtics will be the surging Los Angeles Clippers, followed by the struggling Los Angeles Lakers.
