Colin Cowherd Makes Strong Statement About Draymond Green

Many people have been sharing their opinions of Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors following his five-game suspension for locking Rudy Gobert in a chokehold earlier this week.

A lot of the headlines and think-pieces have been very negative, with people saying that it’s just another instance of Green being violent and acting with disregard for safety.

But Colin Cowherd gave a full-throated defense of Green on his show Thursday morning.

“The people that need to understand Draymond Green get him,” Cowherd said, stating that his teammates and coaches are comfortable with Green and that his positives outweigh his negatives.

“Why would he ever change? The people that need to understand Draymond Green get him… He’s an absolute catalyst.”

Cowherd claimed that Green’s greatness speaks for itself.

During his 11 years in the league, he has become a four-time All-Star, All-Defensive player eight times, Defensive Player of the Year in 2017, and has of course become a champion four times too.

According to Cowherd, he is the second-most important player on the team and does so much for its chemistry and culture, helping them both on the court and in the locker room and on the bench.

“Why would he ever change?” Cowherd asked after reminding viewers of all the success Green has found.

This latest incident is proof that Green really has no intention of ever altering the way that he competes.

This might not sit well with many fans and it’ll likely lead to a few more ejections but he doesn’t seem to mind.

Green holds the record for the most ejections of any current NBA player and he has no desire to change his ways.

Cowherd says that as long as Green keeps bringing the good, Warriors fans should put up with the bad.
