One of the more interesting free agents still searching for a team is running back Dalvin Cook.

After a disappointing 2023 with the Jets and Ravens, which could definitely be attributed to the Achilles injury of Aaron Rodgers, Cook had just 214 rushing yards and started just one game.

He is a free agent once again.

According to Cook himself, who spoke with reporters recently, including insider Aaron Wilson, the former Pro Bowl running back is staying in shape and staying patient while he waits for a team to sign him.

It remains to be seen whether or not Cook can be what he was in Minnesota earlier in his career.

While with the Vikings for six seasons to start his career, the former Florida State star had four consecutive 1,000-yard seasons from 2019 to 2022.

He made four Pro Bowls in a row and was arguably the team’s best offensive piece with Kirk Cousins at quarterback.

Now, he is looking for a new opportunity to regain some of his star power.

It will be very interesting to see who takes a chance on him.

Cook is coming off of a career-low season and will turn 29 in August.

Not many teams are going to hand out a lot of money to a running back that is descending.

But Cook must be searching for a championship more than anything else.

He came very close after being picked up by the Ravens late in 2023, who made it to the AFC Championship Game.

Currently, he can be a solid No. 2 back with a lot of experience.

A one-year, prove-it deal makes the most sense for him here.
