The Dallas Cowboys are one of the most popular sports teams on Earth.
They’re also the most valuable, and they’ve won plenty of games over the past three years or so.
However, they have nothing to show for that, and they haven’t won a Super Bowl in almost three decades.
Coaches and players have gone through the organization ever since, with Jerry Jones being the only common factor.
That’s why former NFL QB Dan Orlovsky believes things will never change in Arlington.
Talking on ESPN’s Get Up, he claimed that Jerry Jones is the star of the team, as opposed to other franchises where the best player, such as Patrick Mahomes or Lamar Jackson, is.
“The Cowboys don’t really want to go be great. They want to be relevant and they want to be mediocre,” Orlovsky said.

He believes the team is committed to mediocrity, as they just settle for staying relevant.
Otherwise, they would’ve made several changes after what should be considered the worst playoff loss in franchise history.
Truth be told, it’s actually quite hard to argue with this statement.
For years, Jones has been heavily criticized for calling all the shots and never being accountable for his team’s never-ending shortcomings.
His weekly radio appearances have done nothing but put unnecessary pressure on his coaches and players, and he’s just hired coaches he can control.
That might work from a business standpoint, as the team continues to be a money-making machine.
