It’s been a while since DeAndre Hopkins was terrorizing rival DBs in the AFC South, but now that he’s officially a part of the Tennessee Titans, that won’t go on for much longer.
The former Houston Texans player took to Instagram to share the news that he had officially signed a deal with the Titans, adding that he’s back to the division where he spent the best years of his career (via Bussin’ With The Boys).

This officially puts an end to one of the longest sagas in the NFL offseason.
Hopkins was reportedly torn between the New England Patriots and the Titans, but he eventually decided to sign with the team that could offer him the most money, which is what most analysts predicted he’d end up doing.
Notably, not many teams were interested in making a run at Hopkins at this point in his career, so it made sense for him to cash in on potentially the last lucrative deal he’ll ever get before walking away from the league.
Several contending teams inquired about Hopkins but were either unable or unwilling — or both — to meet his financial demands or compete with the Titans.
League scouts and executives thought he had missed a step and was unable to get separation anymore, and the Arizona Cardinals couldn’t even find a suitable trade partner for months.
He’ll now look to prove that he still has plenty left in the tank, although his quarterback and offensive line situation will be far from ideal.
