After a successful stint as a head coach at Jackson State, former NFL superstar and Hall of Famer Deion Sanders decided to move up the ranks in college football by accepting a job as the new head coach for the University of Colorado.

The pressure will be on Sanders in his new head coaching gig, with tougher competition and accountability in the Pac-12 Conference.

The 55-year-old will be under the microscope, with everyone wanting to know if he’s the real deal and can genuinely be a great head coach on the college level.

In the meantime, Sanders is enjoying his new surrounding in Colorado while doing the rounds as the team’s head coach, which entails meeting the mascot for the University of Colorado, which turned out to be pure comedy.

The mascot for the Colorado Buffalos is what you’d expect, and it was pretty clear that Sanders isn’t used to being around animals of that size and was a little worried after being warned his fingers could become lunch, but he was a good sport nonetheless.

Regardless of how Sanders’ coaching stint in Colorado turns out, there’s no doubt he’ll be pure entertainment during the process, as he can’t help but entertain the masses, and we’re all here for it.

The University of Colorado is coming off an awful season in which the team finished dead last in the Pac-12 with a forgettable record of 1-8.

Six of the 12 teams in the Pac-12 finished in the top 21 teams in the country, which shows just how competitive and challenging things will be for Sanders right out of the gate next season.
