Days after the news broke out, the Miami Dolphins have finally made it official.
They continued revamping their defensive line by adding a well-known veteran.
According to Ari Meirov, they’ve officially signed DT Calais Campbell, and they had to waive WR Matthew Sexton to make room for him.

The 37-year-old will join the Dolphins after an impressive campaign with the Atlanta Falcons.
Despite being in his 16th season, he managed to play every single game of the regular season for the first time since 2019.
Campbell finished the campaign with 6.5 sacks, 15 quarterback hits, 56 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, and a fumble recovery.
A former Hurricane, he’ll be reunited with new Dolphins defensive coordinator Anthony Edwards, who was his defensive line coach with the Baltimore Ravens a couple of years ago.
The Dolphins wanted to add more depth to the defensive line, especially with Bradley Chubb tearing his ACL late in the season.
Thus far, Campbell has made 244 career appearances (225 starts).
He’s logged 865 tackles, 175 tackles for loss, 254 quarterback hits, 58 passes defended, 3 interceptions, 17 forced fumbles, and 13 fumble recoveries, and while he’s not getting any younger and injury concerns will always be a part of the equation with him, he could be an impactful piece for a team desperately looking to get better on the defensive side of the field.
