The New York Yankees are having a hard time consistently scoring runs.

They lost another game on Tuesday against the Minnesota Twins and are now 13-11 to begin the year.

They are seven games behind the division leaders, the Tampa Bay Rays.

Even Aaron Judge, who had an amazing 2022 that saw him finish with an American League home run record and an MVP award, is not performing to the top of his abilities.

We know he will eventually get going, though.

He is too good not to.

He is turning 31 years old on Wednesday, and the league’s official site made sure to wish him a happy birthday.

“Reigning AL MVP. AL single-season HR champion. Captain of the @Yankees. Happy 31st birthday, @TheJudge44!” MLB tweeted.

Fans, as well, made sure to salute the Yankees captain on Twitter.

Happy Birthday, CAP!

Others took advantage of the opportunity to let the world know they think Judge is the legitimate home run king because he didn’t play in the steroids era and has never been linked with such substances.

True. MLB Single-season. HR Champ.
Judge. 31st years old Congrats.

Judge is slashing a relatively modest – for his lofty standards – .244/.337/.488 with six homers in the young season.

He is also striking out at an alarming rate, 31.7 percent of the time.

He will eventually make adjustments and get back on track, but he has suffered since Giancarlo Stanton hit the injured list a few days ago.

Still, he is still 31, in the middle of his prime, and in the first season of a nine-year deal he signed with the Yankees in the offseason.

He remains one of MLB’s best players.
