The Sacramento Kings have the Golden State Warriors against the ropes.

They’re up 2-0 in the series and will now travel to the Bay area to try and close them out in the next couple of matchups.

Notably, the Dubs will be without Draymond Green, who was suspended for stomping on Domantas Sabonis’ chest late in Game 1.

However, the Kings might also be undermanned, as Shams Charania of The Athletic recently revealed that Sabonis is questionable for Game 3 with a sternum contusion.

X-rays on Sabonis came negative, but he was visually in a lot of pain following the incident with Green.

Kings say Domantas Sabonis has suffered a sternum contusion and is questionable for Game 3 vs. Warriors.

Of course, the news didn’t go unnoticed among NBA circles, with dozens of fans sharing their thoughts on this incident.

do you think they aligned the timing of this announcement with the incorrect ruling on draymond green’s suspension?

They got the suspension they wanted. No need to pretend.

Have a 240 pound man stomp on your chest and see how you feel, come on now use your head.

Sabonis did grab Draymond’s leg, which could’ve also led to a significant injury.

It’s also a fact that Green needed to step his foot somewhere, but perhaps he didn’t have to stomp so hard.

Whatever the case, it’s a shame that this exciting matchup may not have two of their best players on the court for Game 3, and it will lead to speculation for years to come.

What if the Warriors were at full strength at home?

What if the Kings had Sabonis in Game 3?

It seems like, regardless of the outcome, the outcome of this series could be decided by the aftermath of an incident that should’ve never happened in the first place.

But hey, this is the NBA playoffs, and every single play counts, now more than ever.
