In the weeks leading up to the NFL Draft, fans and analysts alike have waffled about who the No. 1 pick will be.
While many have believed that the Carolina Panthers‘ target is Bryce Young, others were not so sure.
Tom Pelissero has recently revealed that the Panthers’ target is indeed Young, something that has apparently been known for several weeks.
The #Panthers will finally reveal their new QB tonight, and sources say their thinking never wavered once they moved to No. 1. Scouts had conviction early in the process. Coaches had no doubt after film study.

The Panthers have struggled at quarterback for the last several years, since the initial departure of Cam Newton.
By adding a dynamic playmaker like Young, their fortunes could change for the foreseeable future.
After Pelissero’s report, fans took to Twitter to express their feelings on the situation.
Over the past few days, talks of Will Levis had circulated, as many believed he would be the Panthers’ pick.

As this fan indicates, the conversation resolving Levis was certainly fun but doesn’t appear to be coming to fruition.
Another fan questioned the validity of Pelissero’s statement, considering the Panthers’ involvement at C.J. Stroud’s Pro Day.

Ultimately, everything that happens in the pre-draft process is just speculative.
Nothing is set in stone until the pick is officially made.
However, Panthers fans have expressed their excitement about the prospect of getting Young on their favorite team.

After a 7-10 record in 2022, Panthers fans are certainly ready for a reset, and Young might be able to provide that.
When the draft unfolds, Panthers fans will be able to breathe a sigh of relief, assuming the team drafts Young.
