The Boston Celtics aren’t happy with the way the season ended and are looking to make changes.
It seems unlikely that they will get rid of any of their star players but they are making a few minor adjustments to the coaching staff that could help a lot.
Recently, the Celtics hired retired player Sam Cassell as an assistant coach.
Former Celtics star Eddie House praised the move, calling Cassell “a great hire” who understands the league and the team.
“He brings a sense of understanding of what it takes to actually get over the hump and win a championship,” House said on NBC Sports Boston.

Cassell played for a number of teams during his tenure in the league.
He started with the Houston Rockets but bounced around to the Phoenix Suns, Dallas Mavericks, New Jersey Nets, Milwaukee Bucks, and others.
The journeyman ended his career with the Celtics on the 2007-08 team and was part of their championship run.
House says that Cassell will gain the respect of young players who saw him growing up and will be able to inspire and lead them.
But he also knows the industry too.
Since stepping away from playing on the court, Cassell has been an assistant coach for the Washington Wizards, Los Angeles Clippers, and Philadelphia 76ers.
This is a man who understands the game very well and has experience with every facet of it.
The Celtics know they are a good team with a strong culture and great coaching staff – they just need a few small tweaks.
Will the hiring of Cassell be the sort of tweak they need to reach the Finals again?
