Former Lakers Champion Shares His Top-5 NBA Players Ever

Throughout the course of NBA history, we’ve seen countless legends taking the floor to play this beautiful game.

Of course, just the creme of the crop makes it to the big league, but even among the stars, some shine the brightest.

That’s why the fans and even some media pundits have often engaged in the futile and never-ending GOAT debate.

With that in mind, controversial forward Metta World Peace took to Twitter to share his list of the five greatest players of all time, and as usual, he had some interesting thoughts.

Top 5 NBA players of all time.
1. Wilt Chamberlain – most dominant ever
2. Bill Russel – most rings ever
3. MJ – 6 rings and quit because it was too easy. No competition
4. Stephon Curry – 4 rings , one team
5. Larry Bird – dominated with no bounce at all

At No. 5, he chose Boston Celtics legend Larry Bird, stating that he was able to dominate despite having ‘no bounce,’ meaning that he wasn’t much of an athlete.

At No. 4, the athlete formerly known as Ron Artest chose Stephon Curry because he’s managed to win four NBA championships with just one team.

Then, he chose Michael Jordan, talking about his six rings and how he quit the game because it was just too easy for him, and he had no actual competition.

Boston Celtics great Bill Russell got the nod at No. 2 simply because he won the most rings ever — which is actually a very valid reason.

To round up the list, he chose the legendary Wilt Chamberlain as the greatest to ever do it because he was the most dominant player ever.

Metta has always had some interesting thoughts about everything, but to each his own, and he’s entitled to his opinion on this matter just like the rest of us.
