Rajon Rondo knows a thing or two about winning NBA championships.
The former guard has two Finals rings from his time with the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers.
The four-time All-Star recently sat down with “First Take” and gave his opinion about who could win the Western Conference Finals this year.
While most people are saying the Phoenix Suns or Denver Nuggets, Rondo had other teams in mind.
“Either the Lakers or the Clippers,” Rondo said to an astonished Stephen A. Smith, who pushed back on his idea of the Clippers going all the way.

But Rondo was steadfast in his belief in both teams.
He stated that Russell Westbrook has something to prove and that the team has enough firepower to get them all the way, even though Paul George will sit out of the first round, if not longer.
“That could be a Western Conference Finals matchup,” Rondo said regarding the Clippers and the Lakers.
He also shared that he doesn’t think the Suns have enough depth to reach the Finals.
He commented that even if Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Chris Paul score a lot, they won’t generate enough points to win seven games.
While he might be in the minority, Rondo isn’t the only person to question if Phoenix has enough talent on the roster to achieve victory.
There are concerns that the team will be lacking when Durant, Booker, and Paul are off the floor.
The fact that a seasoned NBA player could make such a bold prediction just days before the playoffs start show how deep this competitive Western Conference currently is.
