With the second-seeded Memphis Grizzlies getting eliminated in the first round of the NBA playoffs by the seventh-seeded Los Angeles Lakers, one player whose future remains uncertain is controversial forward Dillon Brooks.
The Grizzlies have let it be known that they don’t want Brooks to be part of their organization moving forward and have no intention of re-signing him this summer when he hits NBA free agency.
This has led to much speculation about Brooks’ NBA future and what team in the league is willing to take a chance on him, even if it is for only one season.
Former NBA player Chandler Parsons has an interesting take on the subject, as he believes Brooks might be an ideal fit alongside Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving of the Dallas Mavericks, according to Legion Hoops via Fan Duel TV.

With the Mavericks failing to make the NBA playoffs, even after acquiring Irving in a blockbuster trade with the Brooklyn Nets, Dallas will be one of the teams to watch in the offseason in terms of a franchise that could make a bold move or two to get back on track.
Missing the playoffs entirely after reaching the Western Conference Finals is a significant dropoff, meaning the Mavericks will likely make a splash, but signing Brooks might do more harm than good.
However, the Mavericks were sorely lacking in the defense department and could use a game-changer on that end of the floor, but Brooks is obviously a risk, and one owner Mark Cuban may not want to gamble on after this season’s disappointment.
