The Western Conference is full of several highly talented teams this season.
As a result, the competition to become the top team in the conference is as competitive as it gets.
There are multiple organizations that have a shot at playing in the 2024 Western Conference Finals.
The likes of the Denver Nuggets, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Oklahoma City Thunder are currently the top picks to play for a chance to represent the West in the Finals.
However, former NBA player Stacey King believes that the 2024 Western Conference Finals will feature the Los Angeles Lakers and the Nuggets, via ClutchPoints.
“I would not be surprised if you see Denver [Nuggets] and the Lakers in the Western Conference [Finals],” King said during a recent Chicago Bulls broadcast.

The two organizations locked horns last season in the playoffs, and it resulted in the Nuggets sweeping the Lakers to play in the 2023 NBA Finals.
The Nuggets ended up lifting the first NBA title in franchise history.
On the other hand, the Lakers regrouped during the offseason in hopes of having a better chance at winning it all this season.
The Lakers are nowhere near the top four seeds in the Western Conference and King’s take is shocking as a result.
The 17-time NBA champions have a 36-31 record and remain the ninth seed in the conference, while the Nuggets are cruising past their opponents this season.
They currently have a 46-20 record, tied for the best record in the Western Conference with the Thunder.
