The Kansas City Chiefs are coming off yet another successful season with superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes under center and head coach Andy Reid calling the shots from the sideline.
This dynamic duo in Kansas City seems to keep firing on all cylinders no matter what personnel the team has around Mahomes, as he proved he didn’t need fellow superstar Tyreek Hill downfield to have this offense cranking out points on a weekly basis to make this team a legitimate title contender.
Last year, the Chiefs traded Hill to the Miami Dolphins before the season, and even though it looked costly early, Kansas City was able to figure things out and go on to win a second Super Bowl title under Reid.
With the Chiefs now having won two titles with Reid and Mahomes, the dynasty talk is starting to get louder and louder, with some believing Kansas City already is a dynasty, but a certain former NFL player doesn’t believe the team is there just yet.
ESPN’s Damien Woody, who won two Super Bowls during his playing days, fired back at the notion that this Chiefs squad is currently a dynasty on “First Take” on Monday.

Woody clearly isn’t sold on the dynasty talk when referring to the Chiefs with Mahomes and Reid, as he believes it takes at least three Super Bowl titles to create a dynasty in the NFL, and he may not be wrong.
As expected, Woody used the comparison of the New England Patriots during the Tom Brady and Bill Belichick era when the team won six Super Bowl titles.
Obviously, the Chiefs aren’t at that level yet and there’s no telling if they can even get halfway there, but if Kansas City does win one more, there has to be a serious discussion about the topic.
