New York Giants fans looking to buy a new jersey should be happy that Parris Campbell hasn’t been with the team for long.
The recently-signed wide receiver didn’t wait for a second before letting it be known that he intended to make the most of the latest NFL rule change, switching his jersey number to 0.
As NFL insider Ari Meirov pointed out, the former Indianapolis Colts wideout will have a fresh start in the Big Apple, and that includes a brand new jersey number.

Campbell joined Brian Daboll’s team on a one-year deal that can be worth almost $7 million with $3 million fully guaranteed.
He’s coming off a career-best season, but his history of injuries over his four-year NFL career made the team offer him a “prove it” kind of deal.
The Giants also re-signed WR Darius Slayton to a two-year, $12 million deal that could go all the way to $16.5 million, depending on incentives.
For those who haven’t been keeping notes, the NFL passed a proposal that will allow nearly all players to wear 0 on their jerseys.
Only defensive and offensive linemen won’t be able to wear 0, following the footsteps of college football, which has allowed it since the start of the 2020 season.
Notably, he’s not the only Giants newcomer who’ll have a new number with the G-Men.
Star tight end Darren Waller, who was recently acquired in a trade with the Las Vegas Raiders, will wear No. 12, whereas LB Bobby Okerke will wear No. 58.
