For years, the Atlanta Hawks have been tangled up with countless rumors and narratives.

The media has gone back and forth with reports regarding Trae Young’s or Dejounte Murray’s availability, alleged desire to be traded, and other team’s interest in their services.

The days go by, and the pair continues to hold it’s ground in the backcourt.

With that in mind, Murray recently claimed that he just doesn’t care or read too much into trade rumors, stating that he doesn’t even know who’s writing that stuff (via Bleacher Report).

Murray believes that as long as it doesn’t come from the GM or the coach, he doesn’t have to pay attention to it, and he’s actually right.

He was heavily expected to be traded this season, with the Los Angeles Lakers reportedly making a big effort to pair him with LeBron James.

Those rumors cooled off significantly once D’Angelo Russell started balling out, and Murray eventually stayed in Georgia.

Now, the narrative is centered around whether he can coexist with Young on the court, and rumors state that the former Oklahoma star could be on the trade block in the offseason, once again with the Lakers as a potential destination.

That’s just the nature of this business, especially whenever talented players play for underachieving teams, and they should get used to it by now.

Still, until we see someone break the actual news of a trade, it’ll continue to be nothing more than speculation.
