The Boston Celtics only needed 14 games to get to the NBA Finals.
They’ve been getting some rest for more than a week, and they will have had ten days to heal and restore their bodies before Game 1.
That has done wonders for Kristaps Porzingis.
According to NBA insider Shams Charania, Porzingis has completed multiple scrimmages in recent days and is now fully expected to be back on the court for the start of the NBA Finals vs. the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday night, barring a setback.

The Latvian big man has been on the shelf since April 29.
He suffered a non-contact calf injury vs. the Miami Heat in Game 4 of the first-round series, and the Celtics decided to err on the side of caution here.
Calf injuries are quite tricky and could lead to more serious ailments if the player rushes his way back to the floor.
Porzingis has been a major factor in this team’s success during the regular season.
He can swat shots and spread the floor with his shooting, and his ability to defend along the perimeter and also be a rim protector could make him a huge factor and wild card in this series.
And being back to full strength when it matters the most is obviously great news for Joe Mazzulla’s squad.
It’s championship-or-bust season in Boston, and there will be no more room for excuses this time around.
