The New England Patriots will be using the 2024 NFL season to rebuild after a couple of seasons of underwhelming finishes.
New head coach Jerod Mayo is manning the sidelines now and will have young pieces to mold and develop into potential impact players.
All eyes will be on the development of Drake Maye, whom the team selected No. 3 overall in the 2024 NFL Draft, though rookies like Ja’Lynn Polk and Javon Baker will be on the radar as well.
New England is in the midst of OTAs and are getting a chance to see all their draft picks work in person, though there are also veteran players looking to stick on a roster for next season.
So far, Oshane Ximines and William Bradley-King are two names to watch out for ahead of training camp, per Mike Reiss (via Carlos Talks Pats).
“With the absence of some defensive starters at #Patriots OTAs, OLBs Oshane Ximines and William Bradley-King ‘have taken advantage’ of their extra reps,” Reiss reported.

Ximines has played five seasons in the NFL, all with the New York Giants before signing with New England earlier this offseason.
Bradley-King, on the other hand, was originally drafted by the Washington Commanders before signing onto the Patriots practice squad.
Both players have NFL experience which works in their favor, though they still face an uphill climb to make the 53-man roster considering the other players currently within the organization.
Still, it sounds like training camp for the Patriots will feature several positional battles that’ll be worth tracking.
