The Los Angeles Clippers have seen their fair share of unfortunate injuries to key members of the roster in the past few years.
In fact, injuries have been one of the biggest obstacles for the Clippers during the Kawhi Leonard and Paul George era of the team.
Although the aforementioned stars have remained relatively healthier this season, the Clippers were delivered a crucial blow in the form of Russell Westbrook’s left-hand injury during their recent game against the Washington Wizards.
Russell Westbrook made an early exit to the game and it was later revealed that the veteran guard has suffered a fracture in his left hand.
Speaking of Westbrook’s injury, his team, James Harden, shared his honest reaction to it during the postgame conference via Tomer Azarly on Twitter.
“[We miss] his athleticism, his energy, his play-making ability, his leadership,” Harden said.

James Harden revealed about not even knowing about Russell Westbrook’s fracture when he initially picked up the injury.
Harden further mentioned that the Clippers will miss Westbrook in several aspects.
Be it his athleticism, his energy, his play-making ability, or simply his leadership.
Keeping Harden’s comments in mind, it proves that even though Russell Westbrook is currently in the twilight years of his NBA career, he is still a valuable member of the Los Angeles Clippers.
One silver lining for the Clippers is the fact that they are in an extremely good position in the Western Conference right now.
They have a 38-20 record and hold the fourth seed in the West.
It will allow Westbrook to heal without the need of rushing to the team ahead of the playoffs.
