When the Dallas Cowboys fell to the Green Bay Packers during Wild Card Weekend, many believed this was the end of Mike McCarthy’s tenure.
His job appeared to be on the line, and when he couldn’t produce a win when the team needed it most, questions were raised across the league.
Despite the speculation around McCarthy, the team has made it abundantly clear that he will be their head coach in 2024.
This was solidified by a statement from Jerry Jones, which was shared by the NFL on ESPN.
Jones said, “I am 100 percent supportive of him as our head coach and ability to reach our goals.”

The ultimate goal for any NFL team is to hoist up the Super Bowl trophy at the end of a long season.
The Cowboys fanbase has waited for this over the nearly 30-year period since their last title.
While they have put together some great teams since their last Super Bowl victory, their greatness has only seemed to extend to the regular season.
They continue to fall short of their goals, which is why many believed McCarthy was on his way out.
Jones’ comments indicate that McCarthy will be back next year and that he can help the Cowboys achieve another Super Bowl ring.
Whether this team finally makes that happen remains to be seen.
Even though Jones is confident in McCarthy and his position is solidified, the Cowboys might have to make other moves to help better their odds.
They will have to evaluate every position, analyzing what players they need to add or subtract to reach their goals.
