No team in the NFL was more disappointing in the postseason than the second-seeded Dallas Cowboys, with Dak Prescott and company unable to capitalize on an impressive performance during the regular season.
Despite being the overwhelming favorite to come out on top in the first round of the NFL playoffs against the visiting Green Bay Packers, Jordan Love and company wiped the floor with Mike McCarthy’s squad, as Dallas didn’t stand a chance against a highly motivated and red-hot team led by an up-and-coming quarterback.
With the Cowboys suffering another early playoff exit in epic fashion, America’s Team definitely needs to make some changes during the NFL offseason, with longtime team owner Jerry Jones having some ideas about what changes need to be made to right the ship in Dallas.
Jones seems to be emphasizing a need for a better run game, which could hint at the team’s intentions heading into the offseason, via Jon Machota of The Athletic.
“Better help in the run game, period. Both sides. Certainly need to be more disciplined,” Jones said.

Although Tony Pollard is a talented running back, the Cowboys seemed to play better with more of a two-headed monster attack out of the backfield, like they had with Ezekiel Elliott in the fold.
Fortunately for Dallas, there will be no shortage of talented running backs available during the offseason that can get this team back to being a force to be reckoned with on the ground, with Saquon Barkley, Josh Jacobs, Derrick Henry, and Austin Ekeler all expected to be available.
