The New York Jets are excited to see what Aaron Rodgers can do in their offense in 2024, assuming he enters the year fully healthy.

Of course, Rodgers was expected to come in last year and completely revamp this team, but his Achilles injury in Week 1 made that impossible.

As the organization waits to see what Rodgers can do next year, they have started to make plans for their backups should he miss any time.

Dianna Russini has recently indicated that the Jets have signed Tyrod Taylor as their backup quarterback, hoping for an opportunity under Rodgers.

While this signing could benefit Taylor, it does raise the question of what the Jets will do with their former first-round pick, Zach Wilson.

Wilson was recently given permission to seek a trade.

He was a first-round pick for a reason, and while it hasn’t necessarily worked out in New York, that doesn’t mean he won’t have a chance elsewhere.

The Jets have struggled at the quarterback position for several years, and Wilson’s woes are the latest in a long list of troubles.

Hopefully, some combination of Taylor and Rodgers can bring this team to where they are trying to get to and end their longstanding playoff drought.
