Several weeks after being traded to the Phoenix Suns, Kevin Durant is expected to finally make his home debut for them on Wednesday against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
He missed his first few weeks with Phoenix because of a sprained knee, and just minutes before he was supposed to make his home debut a few weeks ago, he sprained his ankle in warm-ups and was forced back to the sidelines.
Durant will have the opportunity to establish the highest-scoring home debut of his illustrious career.

He began his career with the Seattle SuperSonics during their final season in the Pacific Northwest, and he had 27 points in his first home game with them back in the fall of 2007.
Durant also scored 27 points when he played his first game in the Bay Area as a member of the Golden State Warriors.
Many expect him to instantly make the Suns into a legitimate championship contender again, if not the outright favorite in the Western Conference.
However, they will have very little time to integrate him and get used to playing with him, which won’t necessarily be easy, especially since a player such as Devin Booker will have to give up shots and points to accommodate him.
Then there is the matter of the five future first-round draft picks Phoenix gave up to get Durant, as well as Mikal Bridges, who was a very key 3-and-D complementary player.
Paying a pretty penny to the Brooklyn Nets for the former league MVP has put a tremendous amount of pressure on the franchise to win its first NBA championship as soon as possible, and if they don’t get it done this year, it will only become harder moving forward.
