On Thursday morning, Keyshawn Johnson had some words for Paul Pierce.

For weeks now, Pierce has appeared on “Undisputed” along with Johnson and Skip Bayless and has repeatedly spoken about the power of the Boston Celtics.

On Wednesday night, the Celtics were surprisingly taken down by the Miami Heat and Pierce was nowhere to be found on Thursday morning.

“How do you like them apples?” Johnson asked the absent Pierce, happy with Boston’s defeat and the impact it might have on their future in the playoffs.

Like many other people, Pierce felt that the Celtics’ rise to the top and the NBA Finals were inevitable.

He was surely shocked to see them lose in Game 2 at home.

The Heat came out swinging, scoring a playoff record 23 three-pointers during the game.

It was incredibly hard to minimize them and the Celtics just didn’t have an answer for the Heat.

The reaction to their loss is a prime example of what happens when expectations are so high for a team.

Johnson was just one of the many people giddy about the loss and now there is a lot of talk about what went wrong and how Boston can get back on track.

To be fair, it was only one loss and the Celtics are still favorites in this series.

But when a team is seen as nearly invincible, any defeat has a detrimental effect.

Now everyone is paying very close attention to what happens in Game 3.

If the Celtics can rebound and win again, Boston fans will calm down.

But if the Heat score another victory, Pierce might be smart to miss more episodes of “Undisputed.”
