No basketball league on Earth features more talent than the National Basketball Association.

That’s why most fans and analysts believe the league could easily handle an expansion, at least talent-wise.

Players make the NBA younger than ever, mostly as one-and-done prospects, pushing veterans out of the league.

That was the case with DeMarcus Cousins, who couldn’t find a new team throughout the 2022-23 NBA season despite being in game shape, and had to take his talents to Puerto Rico instead.

Notably, though, he won’t be alone, as he’ll now join a list of former NBA talents that’s more than interesting, namely Norris Cole, Terrence Jones, David Stockton, Hassan Whiteside, Brandon Knight, Tyreke Evans, Earl Clark, Ed Davis, Greg Monroe, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, Elfrid Payton, and Eric Paschall.

Even Washington Wizards star Kyle Kuzma was hyped about former NBA players taking Puerto Rico by storm, showing his support for this decision.

Even so, it’s hard to think that neither of those players could have a role in the NBA.

Tyreke Evans and Brandon Knight are streaky scorers, while Hassan Whiteside and Greg Monroe could be backup bigs at the very least.

Defensive specialists such as Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and Elfrid Payton could also find a place in the league, but none of that is as good as Boogie Cousins.

Even if he’s no longer the All-Star caliber big man he used to be, he could still give any team at least some good 15 minutes off the bench, especially in the playoffs.

Hopefully, he’ll play his way back into the league at some point.
