The Los Angeles Lakers knocked on the door of another trip to the NBA Finals last season.
They kept it close in all four games, but the Denver Nuggets still got the best of them in the Western Conference Finals.
After hinting at potentially walking away from the game, LeBron James made it clear that he’s nowhere near done just yet.
He’s been putting in a lot of work in the offseason, and now, it seems like he has a bigger purpose to be at his best on the court.
According to ESPN’s Dave McMenamin, The King is officially dedicating this upcoming season to his oldest son, Bronny.

For those who lack context, Bronny suffered cardiac arrest while practicing for USC, collapsing and being rushed to the ICU.
He’s now out of danger and progressing, but it was a major scare, not to mention the repercussions an incident like this could have on his playing career.
The Lakers made some impactful moves in the offseason.
GM Rob Pelinka lived up to his promise of keeping the band together after that strong second half of last season, but they also got better and deeper at most positions.
And with LeBron not getting any younger and most likely entering the last or second-to-last year of his career, it would only be fitting for him to walk away as a champion, leading the Lakers to the top spot with the most rings in NBA history, and dedicating all that to his firstborn son.
