Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks shocked the NBA world on Friday night when he scored an amazing three-point shot at the end of Game 2 to beat the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Mavericks are now up 2-0 over the T-Wolves and Doncic is again being celebrated as a hero.

He also earned a place in NBA history.

NBA.com/Stats says that Doncic became the fourth player to record four triple-doubles in a five-game span in the playoffs.

He now joins Nikola Jokic, Magic Johnson, and Wilt Chamberlain.

Doncic was on fire Friday night, scoring 32 points, 10 rebounds, and 13 assists.

It was yet another great performance from the star, who has been lighting up recently after a bit of a rough patch in the playoffs.

The Mavericks now hold a commanding 2-0 lead and have won both games on the road.

That is a massive accomplishment and a sign that they are true championship contenders.

They need just two more wins to reach the Finals and if Doncic keeps scoring like this, that is very possible.

Doncic was in the running for MVP this year but lost out to Jokic and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

However, he is now the only top-three MVP candidate left in the postseason, which says a lot.

Many people thought the Timberwolves would win this series but Doncic is making that seem impossible.

Now that the team has scored two wins and Doncic has scored multiple triple-doubles, they are in position to win this entire series and head to the Finals.

All eyes are on the next game to see what Doncic can do next.
