Great NFL players get the job done in the regular season, but legendary players do it when the lights are the brightest.

That’s why just a handful of players stand alone in the hierarchy of the best quarterback-wide receiver duo in postseason history.

With that in mind, NFL analyst Mike Greenberg shared his list of the top five duos of this sort, and it featured some actual legends (via Get Up).

At No. 5, he went with two of the all-time greats, Kurt Warner and Larry Fitzgerald.

Even though they couldn’t lead the Arizona Cardinals to a Super Bowl win, they connected for 42 receptions for 705 yards and a whopping nine touchdowns in six postseason games together, including three touchdowns in the NFC Championship Game, and 2 in the Super Bowl.

Then, he went with Steve Young and Jerry Rice, who combined for 106 catches for 1,503 yards and scored 18 touchdowns in 20 postseason games to cement themselves among the best duos ever.

Then again, you can’t be the greatest wide receiver ever and not be twice on this list, which is why he also chose Joe Montana and Jerry Rice as No. 3.

They combined for 61 grabs for 969 yards and scored 12 touchdowns in 11 games with Montana in the playoffs.

Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski got the nod at No. 2, which is not much of a surprise, as they combined for 98 receptions for 1,389 yards and 15 touchdowns in 22 games, including four rings.

Even so, Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce stand in a tier of their own, combining for 133 catches for 1,516 yards and 18 touchdowns in 17 playoff games thus far, and counting.
