At the start of the 2022-23 NBA season, some people thought that the Los Angeles Clippers could go all the way to the NBA Finals.
Instead, their season ended in the first round on Tuesday night.
The injuries and lack of playing from Kawhi Leonard have hurt the team’s chances and everyone is talking about it on Wednesday morning.
After the team announced that Leonard had suffered a torn meniscus in his right knee, the status of his health was a major talking point on ESPN’s Get Up.
“They are the most unreliable team possible because you don’t know what you are getting out of them,” Alan Hahn said on the show.

Although Leonard is not in control of his injuries, the frustration around him is understandable.
He is an undeniably terrific basketball player and was doing quite well in the playoffs before he got hurt.
He scored 38 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists in Game 1, followed by 31 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists in Game 2.
But that was the last game he played.
Fans of the team were willing to see Leonard miss many regular season games because they expected him to be such a huge force in the playoffs but that sadly wasn’t the case.
This is nothing new.
Since 2019-20, Paul George and Leonard have only played in 142 games together, including the playoffs and play-in tournament.
That’s 41% of possible games played, which is far below what anyone wanted.
Hahn is absolutely right when he says the Clippers are unreliable.
The sad truth is that there is only one certain way to make them more reliable but it requires bringing the Leonard era in LA to an end.
